Tend to YOUR own Garden

With the arrival of these two beautiful Spring days, we are yet again reminded that all that exists is transcient, fleeting – winter seems to be making its way behind us, and the newness of Spring blesses us with this Truth.  We, too, as part of the cosmos,  go through cycles – births and rebirths – not unlike Mother Nature.  Yet, the difference between us and Mother Nature seems to be that she flows from one season to the next allowing all to flow naturally, while we tend to resist the flow in our relationships, or we get stuck thinking ‘nothing will ever change’.  The saying: ‘nothing changes, nothing changes’ does have great validity — meaning that at times in our lives, it IS crucial to make decisions that facilitate change that match our soul’s higher purpose, however many times life takes care of things.  As in Nature, and we needn’t insert ourselves unnecessarily.  For example, you may want to get even against someone who has hurt you OR you want someone else to change for how you want them to be RIGHT now.  We all have our own Paths with karmic debt and lessons to be learned.  It’s not up to us to try to control someone else’s Path or predict what their karma will be.  That will unfold on its own.  The only one we can ever control is ourselves.  The more you have your nose in other people’s business, the more suffering you create for yourself.   Also, there is more likelihood that you will ruin a relationship simply because you were unable to trust that life will take care of that person, as it will with you.
One great teacher used to say, “Mind your Business”.  It is a common saying for keeping yourself out of people’s affairs, but in a spiritual sense, it means:  Mind YOUR business – watch your mind, be mindful of your affairs, and secondly while doing so, you give space to others for them to Mind THEIRS.
As Spring is upon us, and all the seeds that we planted during the Harvest come into fruition now, we can pull our power back into our own gardens – tending, watering and nurturing your own plot of soil, while allowing others to do the same in their gardens.  The best way to teach is to teach by example.  You can show without words how empowered you are, how powerful you are simply by trusting in the Universe.    Few people trust at all and that is precisely why they try to control outcomes and other people.  But when one has stands confidently in their FAITH, there is an energy that is eminated from that person which  is contagious and inspiring.  The ego finds trusting dangerous, but we discover through practice it is the only way to eliminate the constant inner battle.
Let go, Let God.
